2012 Portraits of Pride 

Local artist Julia Meek has prepared the final scene for the 27^th Annual Portraits of Pride Sales entitled “Farewell to All and to All a Good Night!”

The final scene includes the W&D Santa on his Sleigh above the newly constructed Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana, waving farewell as this 27^th year for the project will be the last.  Sales will kick off in all the Anne’s Hallmark Stores, Reigel’s Pipe & Tobacco at Georgetown, Umber's Ace Hardware in Waynedale, Creative Framing, on N. Anthony, Museum of Art on Main St., and at Easter Seals Arc’s Coldwater Road store in mid October.  Card packs will include 12 of the new scene along with 12 prior scenes and 24 envelopes.  Framed and unframed prints as well as prior scenes will also be available for purchase. 

The Museum of Art on Main Street Fort Wayne will display all 27 “Portraits of Pride” and 6 “City Of” scenes in the month of November.  There will be a preview night - Celebrating a Retrospective of Julia Meek’s Artwork for Easter Seals Arc. The event will be held on Friday, November 9^th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.   There will be a silent auction of the displayed prints.  In the Museum store, for the first time, a limited amount of posters which display all 27 scenes will be available for sale at this event along with other products.  Julia will be signing autographs and addressing any questions that evening as well as on Sunday, November 11^th (2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.) and Sunday, November 18^th (1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.).  The art show will end on Saturday, November 24^th.

Finally, Easter Seals Arc Santa bulbs and other merchandise will be available for purchase as part of the holiday downtown lighting ceremonies on Wednesday night before Thanksgiving.
