'ARC 2 HEART' TOUR PROGRAM
Imagine a one-hour introductory event that tells Easter Seals Arc’s powerful story. It’s a wonderful, historical story that will shed some light on one of Fort Wayne’s best kept secrets. Easter Seals Arc is announcing it’s new ‘Arc 2 Heart’ tour program, in which its initiative is to cultivate awareness of its programs and facility.
Easter Seals Arc began in 1954 as the Johnny Appleseed School by a small group of concerned parents, and has grown to become a Top 100 Employer with over 550 employees and serving over 2,000 families in Northeast Indiana. Located at 4919 Coldwater Road, right next to Red Lobster, the former ITT campus is a new environment for the offices and clients of Easter Seals, having just celebrated its two year anniversary in their new location this past March.
Within this one-hour ‘Arc 2 Heart’ tour, attendees will see for themselves how children and adults with developmental disabilities are one in the same as those without, and most of all how Easter Seals Arc serves a community to help individuals become self-sustaining.
“We want community members to leave our building feeling good. They should have an understanding of what we do and how we do it, but also have fun learning and meeting our staff and clients,” says Darlene Amstutz, Annual Gifts Coordinator for Easter Seals Arc.
These tours will alternate between our 60,000 square foot Coldwater building, which is home to a number of programs including our Stepping Stones Child Development Center and our Adult Day Center which serves approximately 200 children and adults with developmental disabilities, and our 62,000 square foot Production and Work Training facility that houses a large client workshop, Employment Services, and other major programs as well.
‘Arc 2 Heart’ tours are a great way for any organization or individual to learn about our services and the people whose lives in which we hope to make a difference. These free tours will be given on the third Tuesday of each month beginning at 8:30 a.m. and lasting approximately one hour. Scheduled tour dates and locations are as follows:
